While executing these projects, Gemak has upgraded existing and also developed new facilities and technology that has profiled the Group as a leading fabricator of high quality large steel constructions in the wider region. In line with Gemak Group's diversification strategy, Group is also providing its services for Offshore and Onshore Construction works and has already completed significant number of modification and repair projects of Offshore vessels and rigs. Gemak Shipyard Tuzla is a leading ship repair and conversion yard in Turkey which was established in 1969 in Golden Horn, Istanbul and transferred to Tuzla, Istanbul in 1981. Shipyard centrally located between Europe and Asia, the Port of Tuzla/Istanbul, and with around 1000 workers. Shipyard is founded on total 45.286m² area, which consists of 15.885m² closed and 29.401m² open facilities. Shipyard has two floating docks, a gantry crane (50 tons), several cranes (lifting capacity is up to 30 tons) and a floating crane (SWL 100 tons), several inhouse workshops of machining, mechanical, pipe, steel, electrical ans so on.
