Ship Repair Index (SRI) — Global Repair Activity 2026
SRI of 2026 Week 23:
( 2026-06-01 – 2026-06-07 )
The Ship Repair Index measures how many large vessels (≥100 m) are in repair at a regionally-balanced basket of 68 shipyards, normalised by the AIS detection-capable fleet so it does not depend on AIS coverage volume. Rebased to 2025 average = 100; latest weeks shown are the most recent finalised values (4-week moving average).

About the Ship Repair Index
The TrustedDocks Ship Repair Index (SRI) measures how many large vessels (≥100 m) are in repair each week at a regionally-balanced basket of 68 curated shipyards across nine world regions. To make the index independent of AIS data volume, the weekly repair count is normalised by the detection-capable fleet — the number of large vessels with enough AIS coverage that week to be detectable in a yard — then rebased so the 2025 average equals 100. The nine regions are equally weighted, so a local AIS-coverage gap shows up in that region's sub-index rather than distorting the world headline. Published values are a 4-week moving average of finalised weeks; the most recent weeks revise as in-progress repair visits close. The SRI is a dependable indicator of global ship-repair demand and regional repair activity that does not depend on the quality or quantity of AIS supply.
