Djibouti Ship Repair Yard (DSRY)

Largest ship repair facility in the Red Sea and East Africa, inaugurated on 4 April 2026. Strategic joint venture between the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) and Damen Shipyards Group, with €107.5 million investment financed by Invest International (Netherlands). Located at the entrance to the Bab el-Mandeb strait, one of the world's busiest maritime chokepoints. Facilities: 217m x 43m floating dock with 20,100-tonne lifting capacity, 80-hectare site, 800m alongside berth capacity. Provides full-range services including dry docking, hull repairs, mechanical overhauls, tank cleaning, blasting and painting for both merchant and naval vessels. Successfully completed first large-scale dry-docking (containership Africa Sun) in late 2025 during commissioning phase.
