About FUJIAN MAWEI SHIPBUILDING LTD

Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., formerly known as the Fujian Mawei Shipyard, was founded in 1866 and then known as the Fujian Shipbuilding Administration. It is one of China's earliest established shipbuilding enterprises. In 2016, Mawei Shipyard relocated to Culu Island in Lianjiang. The plant now covers an area of approximately 1,060 mu (approximately 1,060 mu). It features a medium-sized offshore dock (280 meters long, 82 meters wide, and 13.5 meters deep) equipped with a 700-ton gantry crane, three outfitting piers with a total length of 1,326 meters, and a hull assembly workshop capable of processing 80,000 tons of steel. The company has the ability to research and develop, design, manufacture and repair various types of ships below 100,000 tons, and has rich experience in designing and building various types of high-value-added marine engineering equipment, tuna purse seine fishing vessels, deep-sea aquaculture equipment, multi-purpose container ships, bulk carriers, oil and chemical tankers, etc.
