About ESTALEIRO ATLANTICO SUL

Estaleiro Atlântico Sul (EAS) is a major Brazilian shipyard located in the Suape Industrial Port Complex, Pernambuco, inaugurated in 2005. One of the largest and most modern shipyards in the Southern Hemisphere, the facility spans 160 hectares with 1,600m of quay walls. Features two graving docks: Dock 1 (400m x 73m, for VLCC-class vessels) and Dock 2 (for mid-size vessels). Built 10 Suezmax tankers for Transpetro/Petrobras. Equipped with two goliath gantry cranes (1,500t and 600t capacity).
