About Naval Dockyard Limited

Premier maritime engineering and ship repair facility operated by the Nigerian Navy. Originated in 1965 when the Federal Government acquired the Elder Dempster Lines Shipyard and transferred it to the Nigerian Navy; officially commissioned in 1969 as the Nigerian Naval Dockyard (NND); incorporated as a limited liability company in 1990. Located at 28 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. Facilities include a main graving dock (180m x 24m, 10,000t capacity), twin graving docks (2x 50m x 15m, 250t each), and a 200t slipway. Services: ship repair and maintenance, dry docking, fabrication and engineering, ship design and construction, boat and barge construction, electroplating, galvanizing, berthing and jetty services, foundry, electrical motor rewinding, and carpentry. Serves both Nigerian Navy and merchant clients in maritime, oil and gas sectors.
