Austral Group S.A.A. is a leading Peruvian fishing company and a member of the Norwegian group Austevoll Seafood ASA, one of the largest fishing groups globally. The company is primarily engaged in the production and commercialization of fishmeal and fish oil, particularly from Anchovy (Engraulis Ringens), as well as frozen fish such as Jack Mackerel (Trachurus Murphyi) and Mackerel (Scomber Japonicus). They also produce canned products. Austral Group operates with a strong focus on sustainability, responsible fishing practices, and eco-efficiency, utilizing 4 fishmeal and fish oil production plants strategically located along the Peruvian coast and a fleet of 18 vessels, 12 of which are equipped with refrigerated recirculation water systems (RSW) to maintain raw material quality. Their fish oil is noted for being rich in Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), suitable for nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, aquaculture, and pet food industries.
