BIENDONG SHIPPING COMPANY LIMITED, also known as Bien Dong Shipping Co., Ltd., is a state-owned enterprise that was established in 1995 under Decision No. 645 QD/TCCB-LD by the Minister of Transport. Since July 1, 2010, it has been transferred from Vinashin to Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines). The company is recognized as one of Vietnam's leading shipping companies, specializing in container shipping and finished oil tankers. Its fleet has an average age of 10 years, comprising 7 container ships with a total capacity of approximately 5,000 TEUs and 2 double-hulled oil tankers with a capacity of about 95,000 DWT. Bien Dong Shipping is noted for its strong presence in the Vietnamese domestic market and its service quality, particularly with two weekly services connecting Haiphong and Hongkong. The company's business activities encompass freight transport, various services, and repairs. Its vision includes serving container shipping demands within Asia and exploring cooperation and joint-venture opportunities globally in maritime fields such as ocean freight, freight forwarding, and investment in port facilities and warehouses in Vietnam.
