Liancheng Overseas Fishery (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 in Shenzhen, China's first Special Economic Zone. The company specializes in distant water fishery, domestic trade, fishing gear and bait supply, and import and export of seafood products. It is considered China's most prominent fresh tuna operator in the Center and West Pacific region. The company operates a fleet of 40 vessels, including 26 100% owned vessels, and engages in long-line fresh tuna fishing in the middle and west Pacific Ocean. Their main fishing grounds include the special economic water areas of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Republic of Belau, and the Federated States of Micronesia. Main products include big-eye tuna and yellow-fin tuna, with byproducts such as swordfish, blue marlin, and maha-mahi. They export to Japan and the US, and also cater to the domestic market in China by selling self-fished aquatic products. The company has a subsidiary in Fuzhou and offices in Xiamen, Shanghai, and Dongshan in China, with a total of over 400 employees.
