Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry - CSSC
is a state-owned shipyard operating as part of CSIC Group. In 2017, following restructuring within CSIC, it became a subsidiary of Wu Chang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. The shipyard is located in Haixiwan, within the Qingdao Economic & Technical Development Zone. Offering newbuilding, repair and conversion and offshore services, Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding employs 3,000 staff and has an annual newbuild production capacity of 3 million DWT. The shipyard is divided between repair, ocean engineering and newbuilding facilities. Its focus for newbuilding construction includes oil tankers, bulk carriers, offshore support vessels and containerships. It began production of a series of 17 180K DWT Capesize bulk carriers in late 2009, and 12 250K DWT Ore carriers from November 2013. In 2016, it started work on eight 400K DWT VLOCs, with a further six 325K DWT VLOCs added in 2018. In future, the shipyard plans to construct VLCCs, VLOCs, large containerships and various types of Oil Tankers, and expand into offshore engineering projects. Infrastructure spending on yard facilities has raised its annual production capacity from 3m DWT to 4.68m DWT.

QINGDAO HAIXI HEAVY-DUTY MACHINERY CO., LTD, (HHMC), under the leadership of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC),established in 2005, is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Wuhan Marine Machinery Co., Ltd. (WMMP) and is also one of three manufacturing bases for Wuchang Shipbuilding Industries Co ltd. It is a port equipment manufacturer engaged in the design and manufacture of port cargo handling equipment, ship lifting equipment, and functional platforms. HHMC is located at the mouth of Jiaozhou Bay and has a total production and assembly area of 520,000 square meters. It also has a 1,000-meter-long port, capable of berthing domestic and foreign vessels of up to 60,000 tons, enabling it to deliver cranes to any destination worldwide. In addition, they are equipped with large equipment such as more than 90 sets of Overhead Cranes with various lifting capacities (75 tons, 50 tons, 32 tons, 20 tons, etc.), one 1600-ton Gantry Goliath Crane, one 300-ton Gantry Goliath Crane, one 260-ton Portal Crane, and two 120-ton Gantry Cranes. They also have three sets of Flat Trailers (100 tons, 200 tons, 380 tons), one 150-ton Crawler Crane, and two 50-ton Motor Cranes. They have the ability to design, manufacture, and build various types of cranes such as Portal Slewing Cranes, Ship Loaders, Bridge Ship Unloaders, Quayside Container Cranes, Floating Cranes, and Goliath Gantry Cranes.
