Corporate Profile & Capabilities Çeksan Shipyard stands as one of the long-established entities in the Turkish shipbuilding and ship repair industry, with a heritage spanning over 65 years. Commencing operations in the historic Golden Horn and subsequently relocating to the Tuzla Shipyards Area to accommodate industrial expansion, the shipyard has successfully delivered over 85 vessel projects, ranging from chemical tankers and ferries to heavy-duty barges and specialized marine vessels. Infrastructure and Production Capacity The shipyard operates within an integrated facility infrastructure equipped with slipways, enclosed paint halls, and extensive open fabrication areas, possessing an annual steel processing capacity of 7,500 tons. The facility is capable of executing: -New Building projects up to 25,000 DWT, -Docking, Repair, and Conversion operations for vessels up to 15,000 DWT. All production processes are conducted in strict compliance with international IACS classification society standards, technical specifications, and occupational safety norms. History Founded in 1960 by Mr. Habip BAYRAK in Istanbul, Çeksan Shipyard initially focused on the construction of wooden and steel vessels. Parallel to the evolving needs of the maritime sector, the company transitioned to full steel construction in 1979 and moved to its current location in Tuzla Bay in 1986 to increase capacity. Following extensive infrastructure modernization in the 1990s, the shipyard continues its operations today under the management of the third-generation Bayrak family, delivering value to the global shipping industry with half a century of expertise.
