Russian Strikes Hit Four Ships Bound for Ukrainian Ports

The Russian Ministry of Defence released video footage showing strikes on four vessels in the Black Sea that were en route to Ukrainian ports. The ministry stated the attacks took place the previous day, though it did not disclose the exact location, the names of the vessels, their flags, or the extent of damage sustained. The footage was shared as part of Russia's ongoing military operations targeting shipping and port infrastructure linked to Ukraine amid the continuing conflict. Black Sea shipping has faced repeated disruption since the war began, with both Russian and Ukrainian forces conducting strikes on vessels, ports, and grain export routes in the region. No information has been provided on casualties among crew members or on the cargo the ships were carrying. Ukrainian authorities have not yet issued a public response to the Russian ministry's claims. The incident adds to a series of maritime attacks that have raised concerns among shipowners and insurers operating in Black Sea waters, where commercial traffic continues to navigate elevated security risks despite international efforts to maintain safe corridors for cargo movement.
