The Coast Guard deployed the Malapascua (MRRV-4403) and additional emergency teams, with local tugs Sedar 8 and Polaris assisting firefighting efforts.
All 20 crew were accounted for. Two sustained injuries, including one inhalation injury, and were taken for medical treatment. Thick smoke continued to emerge from the vessel after visible flames were extinguished.
