Somali-Flagged Cargo Ship GUNEY Detained in Kalymnos

The general cargo/multipurpose vessel GUNEY, sailing under the Somali flag, has been detained by port state control authorities in Kalymnos, Greece, following an inspection conducted under the Paris MoU regime. The inspection, carried out on 07 Sep 2026, identified 11 deficiencies aboard the vessel, of which 6 were classified as detainable, prompting authorities to hold the ship in port until the issues are rectified. The GUNEY, which carries IMO number 8230417 and has a gross tonnage of 2,516, is managed under the ISM Company Azov 217 Co.
