Unmanned MV Russkiy Vostok Runs Aground in Vladivostok

The motor ship Russkiy Vostok ran aground near the Tokarevsky Lighthouse in Vladivostok on September 8 after reportedly breaking free from its moorings amid strong winds. The vessel was unmanned and carried no cargo at the time. No pollution has been reported. The Primorsky Transport Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the grounding, while authorities had previously identified mooring violations involving the vessel’s owner.
