Two Filipino Seafarers Killed in Attack on Bahri VLCC Sidr

Two Filipino crew members were killed after Bahri’s VLCC Sidr came under attack in the Strait of Hormuz on 31 August, the Saudi shipping company said. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) had earlier reported a security incident involving a vessel in the waterway, with two casualties and no reported environmental impact. Saudi authorities have blamed Iran for the strike, while Bahri has not disclosed the weapon involved or identified those responsible.
