Drone Attack Strikes Volgo Balt 226 Carrying 11 Crew Members

The 114-metre dry cargo vessel Volgo Balt 226 came under a drone attack in the Black Sea on 20 August, with all 11 crew members reported safe. The crew comprised 10 Azerbaijani nationals and one Georgian national. The Comoros-flagged vessel continued sailing after the attack and is now heading toward Trabzon, Türkiye. Ilham Nasirov, chairman of the Support to Azerbaijani Seafarers Public Union, reported the incident in a social media post.
