EU Naval Forces Inspect Cameroon-Flagged Tanker

The vessel Toa Payoh linked to Russia shadow fleet and sanctioned by EU was boarded by the Italian-led EUNAVFOR MED Irini west of Pantelleria on 2 August to verify its recently changed Cameroon registration. The inspection was completed safely in approximately two hours. As the EU mission lacked authority to detain the vessel, Toa Payoh was allowed to continue its voyage.
