Cargo Vessel Onego Otra Refloated, No Pollution Were Reported

The Antigua and Barbuda-flagged general cargo vessel Onego Otra was refloated from the St. Lawrence River on 27 July after remaining aground for nearly four weeks. The vessel ran aground north of Montreal on 30 June following a reported rudder malfunction. Three tugboats assisted the refloating operation after crews removed about 2,400 tonnes of cargo in a second lightening effort. Onego Otra was escorted to Sorel for an underwater inspection. No injuries or pollution were reported.
