Engine Room Fire Prompts Mayday Call from Offshore Vessel Skandi Logger

A fire aboard the Brazilian-flagged offshore vessel Skandi Logger prompted an emergency response in the Campos Basin off Brazil on 22 July. The crew safely contained the engine room blaze with assistance from Normand Sagaris, and no injuries or environmental damage were reported. DOF said the fire originated from an electrical fault in one of the vessel's switchboards.
