Ferry, And Cargo Vessel Sustain Minor Damage in Souda Port Collision

A passenger ferry collided with a cargo vessel while entering the Port of Souda, Greece, on 21 July, leaving both vessels with minor damage but causing no injuries. The Elyros, struck the bow of the inbound cargo vessel Iosif K. during the approach to the port. Both Greece-flagged vessels remained moored at Souda after undergoing seaworthiness inspections by classification society surveyors. The Port Authority has opened an investigation into the cause of the collision.
