Two Tankers Attacked at CPC Black Sea Terminal, All Crew Reported Safe

Two crude oil tankers came under attack while loading at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal off Russia's Black Sea coast on 19 July, prompting the suspension of crude oil loading operations. The Asia and Nissos Ios were struck during loading, with a fire breaking out aboard Asia before being extinguished. CPC said both vessels remained afloat, with no injuries, fatalities or oil spills reported. Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry confirmed that the terminal's SPM-1 and SPM-3 mooring facilities were undamaged. Oil loading operations remain suspended while authorities assess the incident.
