Douala Port Reopens After Two Vessels Collision

Navigation at Cameroon's Douala-Bonabéri Port resumed after the bulk carrier Sea Honor and the general cargo vessel Black Rhino collided near buoy No. 20 in the early hours of 12 July. Both vessels sustained significant damage, but no injuries were reported. Sea Honor was moved to an anchorage, while Black Rhino was intentionally beached to clear the channel after its 15 crew members were safely evacuated. Port authorities have restored normal traffic, while a technical investigation is underway.
