Indian Coast Guard Assists Flooded Cargo Vessel off Tamil Nadu

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) successfully assisted the cargo vessel Sitthaa after it reported flooding in multiple compartments off Tiruchendur, Tamil Nadu, on 27 June. Indian Coast Guard vessel Atulya responded to the distress call and deployed a specialist boarding team, which worked alongside salvage experts to carry out emergency repairs and dewatering operations. The flooding under control was cleared to proceed to Tuticorin Port for permanent repairs.
