A turbocharger failure disabled one of the vessel's main engines before a fire broke out in the funnel. The vessel subsequently anchored about 10 nautical miles north of Margate while awaiting tug assistance.
The Norstream was towed to Tilbury, arriving at around 10:30 a.m. on 25 June, and is expected to resume service following repairs.
