Ferry Strikes Pier During Arrival at Rafina Port

The passenger ferry Andros King allided with the northern pier at Rafina Port, Greece, on the evening of 8 June, causing damage to the port structure but resulting in no injuries or pollution. The vessel was returning from a scheduled voyage serving Mykonos, Tinos, and Andros when the incident occurred. At the time, the ferry was carrying 283 passengers, 80 vehicles, and 60 crew members. Port authorities responded immediately and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Subsequent inspections found no damage affecting the vessel's seaworthiness, allowing it to resume operations.
