The incident occurred approximately 20 nautical miles off Cap de la Hague, prompting French maritime authorities to initiate an emergency response. Assistance was requested and an assessment team, accompanied by marine firefighters equipped with dewatering pumps, was deployed to the ship.
Following an onboard inspection, responders confirmed that the situation had been stabilized. The vessel was subsequently directed to the Port of Le Havre, where further inspections and technical assessments were scheduled to be carried out.
No injuries or pollution were reported.
