G2 Ocean Orders Six New Open Hatch Vessels

G2 Ocean is expanding its fleet with six new open hatch gantry crane vessels, set for delivery starting in 2029. These vessels, part of a new 65,400 DWT series, are investments by shareholders Gearbulk and Grieg Maritime Group. Additionally, G2 Ocean will equip its existing vessel Star Kirkenes with jet sails to enhance performance. This development increases G2 Ocean's future-fuel-ready fleet to 16 vessels, including three delivered in 2026 and seven scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027. CEO Arthur English highlighted that these investments aim to provide cargo owners with safe, flexible, reliable, and sustainable cargo solutions. The newbuilds and upgrades reflect G2 Ocean's commitment to strengthening its long-term service offering in the maritime sector.
