Cargo Ship Collides With Docked Vessel at Guatemala Port

Two vessels collided at Santo Tomás de Castilla Port in Puerto Barrios, Izabal, on the afternoon of May 23, prompting an investigation into the cause of the incident. The collision occurred at around 3 p.m. when the cargo vessel Seaboard Pride, carrying containers, reportedly struck the docked vessel Saturn. Authorities have not yet disclosed the extent of damage to either vessel, their nationality, or the circumstances that led to the collision.
