The blaze erupted in the cargo hold of the approximately 90-metre-long vessel berthed at Grevenhofkai pier. Crew members began firefighting efforts before responders arrived at the scene.
Around 80 emergency personnel battled the fire for nearly three hours, supported by a firefighting boat and divers.
Seven injured people were hospitalized, while one was treated at the scene. After the fire was extinguished, the site was handed over to police, who are investigating the cause.
