Hayriye Ana Suffers Machinery Failure Off Turkey, Tugboat Deployed

Turkey’s Directorate General of Coastal Safety (KEGM) responded to a machinery failure aboard the cargo ship Hayriye Ana on May 16 in the Marmara Sea near Beylikdüzü, Turkey. The vessel, which was en route from Ünye to France, was unable to restore power and was towed by tugboat Kurtarma 8. The vessel was escorted to Ambarlı Anchorage safely. No injuries or pollution incidents were reported.
