Projectile Attacks Reported on Ships Near UAE

Two commercial vessels were struck by suspected projectiles in separate incidents off the coast of the United Arab Emirates on 11 March, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

The Japan-flagged container ship One Majesty reported an impact at 01:58 UTC while sailing about 25 nautical miles northwest of Ras Al Khaimah. The vessel sustained minor damage, but all crew members were safe and accounted for.

Shortly afterward, at around 02:05 UTC, the Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier Star Gwyneth was struck by another suspected projectile roughly 50 nautical miles northwest of Dubai. The ship suffered hull damage, though no injuries or pollution were reported. UKMTO said the incidents remain under investigation.
