PaxOcean Launches New 350-Meter Dry Dock at Singapore Facility

PaxOcean Group, a leading shipbuilding company under Kuok Maritime Group (KMG), has officially inaugurated its new shipyard, 5 Jalan Samulun (5JS), in Singapore’s Jurong Industrial Estate. The facility, built with an investment of 200 million Singapore dollars, features a 350-meter-long dry dock capable of servicing Suezmax-class vessels, as well as two additional docks and a quay for larger ships. Developed as a replacement for the Tuas Yard, 5JS spans 17.26 hectares and was constructed over two years with support from JTC Corporation and the Singapore Economic Development Board. PaxOcean plans to invest further in research and innovation, including the establishment of a Centre of Excellence and Singapore’s first Innovation Hub at the site to advance maritime technology.
