Midvolga 2 Comes Under Attack Off Turkish Coast

The Russian-flagged tanker Midvolga 2 was reportedly attacked in the Black Sea while sailing about 130 kilometres off the Turkish coast on 1 December. 

Turkish authorities confirmed the incident but released no details on the nature of the attack. The tanker resumed its voyage to Sinop under its own power. Midvolga 2 was carrying sunflower oil at the time. All 13 crew members were unharmed, and the vessel did not request assistance.
