About the Ship Repair Index
The TrustedDocks Ship Repair Index (SRI) tracks the number of unique vessels and total DWT present at 75 curated shipyards worldwide on a weekly basis. Each shipyard in the index is verified for consistent AIS coverage (≥95% weekly data availability) to ensure reliable, comparable metrics across all reporting periods. The SRI provides a dependable indicator of global ship repair demand and helps identify trends in repair activity across different regions and individual shipyards.
