HHI Marine Engines

HHI, or Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines, was a shipbuilding company established in February 2006 in the Philippines by South Korea's Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction. Its first shipbuilding contract for four container ships was signed in the same month, followed by the commencement of shipyard construction on Redondo Peninsula, Subic Bay, in May 2006. Currently, 598 vessels in service carry HHI engines across 124 models. The top vessel types utilizing HHI engines are oil and chemical tankers (220), bulk carriers (115), and container carriers (54). These vessels are most frequently found in South Asia (73), the Red Sea & Persian Gulf (53), and the Indian Ocean (48). Common HHI engine models include the HHI - 6S70MC-C7 (32 units) and HHI - 6S70MC-C8 (24 units).
