MWM Marine Engines

MWM, or Metrowagonmash, is a Russian engineering company founded in Mytishchi in 1897. As part of Transmashholding, MWM specializes in the development, design, and manufacturing of rolling stock for metro systems and railways. Their engines are found in 939 vessels across 209 models. General cargo ships (352), tugs (142), and passenger ships (117) are the most common vessel types utilizing MWM engines. The North Sea / Atlantic (192), East Mediterranean & Black Sea (146), and Baltic Sea (81) are regions with notable concentrations of vessels powered by MWM.
