The vessel reportedly suffered a steering gear malfunction and struck Red Buoy No. 2 while entering the Karnaphuli River channel. Two port tugs, Kandari-4 and Kandari-11, assisted in refloating the vessel, which was later moved to Chittagong Anchorage.
No injuries or pollution were reported, and vessel traffic through the port channel remained unaffected.
