Panama-Flagged LPG Tanker Attacked by Drone in Black Sea After Rescue

A Panama-flagged LPG tanker came under a drone attack in the Black Sea after rescuing two injured crew members from another drone-stricken tanker. After transferring the injured Filipino seafarers to a Turkish Coast Guard helicopter off Sinop on 16 July, the rescue tanker was itself hit by a drone, sparking a fire in one of its forward tanks. The blaze was extinguished by a firefighting tug coordinated by Türkiye's Samsun Port Authority, and the vessel later arrived in Trabzon for repairs, according to Türkiye's General Directorate of Maritime Affairs.
