Goldenport Orders 64,000 DWT Bulk Carriers in China

Greek shipowner Goldenport Shipmanagement Ltd. has placed an order for bulk carriers with Nantong Xiangyu Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. The contract covers bulk carriers with a deadweight of 64,000 DWT, powered by conventional fuel. Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for 2029, with a delivery window from January to December of that year. This order is part of a larger investment by Goldenport, which also includes feeder container ships built at China Merchants Shipbuilding Industry’s Wuhan Qingshan Shipyard. The bulk carriers are intended to expand Goldenport’s fleet capacity in the dry bulk segment. Nantong Xiangyu Marine Equipment Co., Ltd is a recognized shipyard specializing in bulk carrier construction. The newbuildings will contribute to Goldenport’s ongoing fleet renewal and expansion strategy.
