Goldenport Orders Three 1,800-TEU Container Ships in China

Greek shipowner John Dragnis, CEO of Goldenport Shipmanagement Ltd., has placed an order for three 1,800-TEU conventional container ships at QINGSHAN SHIPYARD OF CHINA CHANGJIANG NATIONAL SHIPPING GROUP (CSC). The contract was reported on 01 Jul 2026 and the vessels are scheduled for delivery between 01 Jul 2027 and 31 Dec 2028. The newbuildings form part of a broader $166 million investment by Goldenport, which also includes bulk carriers built at other Chinese yards. This order marks continued confidence in Chinese shipbuilding capacity for feeder container ships. Goldenport Shipmanagement operates a diverse fleet and this addition will support its feeder container operations.
