Yantai Salvage Bureau, Ministry of Transport, provides maritime salvage, wreck removal, offshore engineering, specialized transportation, offshore oilfield services, marine wind farm projects, diving services, ship construction and repair, and ship equipment services. They operate a fleet including engineering ships, rescue tugs, and salvage barges, and are involved in rescue operations, ship recovery, and environmental salvage.The Ship Repair Center is a key unit of the land industry under Yantai Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of Transport. Founded in 1976, it mainly engages in the construction, maintenance, reconstruction, dismantling of ships and offshore platforms, as well as the construction of steel structures.
