The Guangzhou Salvage Bureau boasts a comprehensive shipbuilding industry chain and shipbuilding and repair base, capable of building 10,000-ton vessels, customizing ship modifications, and manufacturing large steel structures. Its main products include various tugboats, passenger ferries, cargo ships, and beacon vessels, which are exported to countries such as Indonesia and Singapore.The Ship Repair and Construction Center (Dockyard) was established in 1975 and is located at No. 2408, Nanzhou Road, Haizhu District. It was established and has 77 employees, including 27 technical management personnel (including senior engineers and technicians) and a group of skilled workers who have worked on various types of ships for a long time and have rich experience in the use and management of ship machinery and ship repair and construction. The factory covers an area of ​​more than 30,000 square meters and has production workshops for hull, machinery, electrical and other production facilities and corresponding supporting equipment. The factory has a 200-meter-long and 5-meter-deep ship repair and construction pier. At the Xinhui base, there is a 350-meter-long and 7.7-meter-deep high-pile ship repair pier and a 250-meter-long and 5.5-meter-deep caisson pier. The facility primarily manufactures, repairs, and refits various types of vessels, fabricates various steel structures, and repairs and processes salvage equipment. Since its restructuring in 2003, the facility has completed the repair and refitting of six 2,600-horsepower rescue vessels, the conversion of a 7,000-ton deck barge into a self-propelled vessel, the construction of four 800-ton and two 1,200-ton salvage buoys for pressure vessels, the construction of a 368-TEU container ship exported to Indonesia, the repair of the large vessel "Deshun," the fabrication of steel approach bridges for supporting facilities at the Guangzhou Asian Games, the refitting of the Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration vessels "Haibiao 31," "Haixun 1703," "Haixun 1726," and "Fuchang," the construction of a 4,850-kW tugboat, a 60-meter multipurpose crane vessel exported to Indonesia, a 62-meter semi-submersible barge, the Guangzhou Port vessel "Suigang 4001," the major refit of the "Zhongren 1500," a 5,000-ton coastal multipurpose vessel for the Guangzhou Port, and the construction of the "Yuebiao 610" vessel for the Western Guangdong Waterway Administration.morehide
