The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is an organization within the United States Navy that is responsible for the acquisition, design, development, and maintenance of the Navy's ships, submarines, and combat systems. NAVSEA manages the life-cycle of the Navy's ships and systems, from the initial acquisition phase through the in-service phase, and ultimately to the decommissioning phase.
