The Group’s three yards at Batam, with naturally sheltered deep waterfront, has land sizes of thirty and sixteen hectares. The yards are located in a free trade zone at Batam with industrial areas designated specifically for shipyards with developed infrastructure such as roads, telecommunications, utilities and supporting services. The 14.2-hectare Sembcorp Marine Pandan Yard is able to accommodate the construction of seven proprietary design Pacific Class 400 jack-up rigs at various stages of construction at any one time.
