Navantia’s Production Units at Ferrol Estuary, with facilities at Fene and Ferrol, have been equipped with world-class state of the art shipbuilding technological means and a revolutionary production model - integrated construction- that allows to achieve top-quality results, while cutting costs and deadlines. In these centers, located in northwestern coast of Spain, Navantia builds next-generation warships, including frigates equipped with the AEGIS combat system, amphibious ships, aircraft carriers, fleet tankers, corvettes, etc. This area is also located the Turbine Factory dedicated to manufacturing steam turbines and wind turbines for power generation plants and reduction gears, shafts lines, torpedo tubes and other equipment for ships.
