CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co.(Guanzhou Wenchong Shipyard CSSC) is one of the mainstay shipyard under China State Shipbuilding Co (CSSC). It is a combination of Guangzhou Huangpu Shipyard and Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard which were merged at the end of 2013. Huangpu Wenchong is a major construction base of navy vessels, special engineering vessel, offshore engineering vessel in south China as well as the biggest manufacturer of Dredger and feeder container in China. Huangpu Wenchong currently has 3 production areas: Changzhou production area is located on Changzhou Island, in the southeastern part of Guangzhou city, covers an area about 700,000 square meters, more than 3,000 meters of coastlines, it own the largest indoor shipbuilding workshop in the south of China, one floating dock with lifting capacity 12,000 tons , holds 30,000 dwt shipbuilding capacities. Wenchong Production area is located in Huangpu district of Guangzhou City, covers an area of 700,000 square meters, more than 1,500 meters of coastlines. It owns 3 docks of 25,000dwt, 70,000dwt and 150,000 dwt respectively, 1 slipway of 25,000dwt, is capable to build containers below 5600teu with deadweight under 70,000dwt. Main products are 1700teu, 2200teu , 2500teu containers and types of middle- big sized dredgers. LONGXUE production area is located in Longxue Island, Nansha district of Guangzhou, which is adjacent to HONG KONG and MACAO. It covers an area of 1,180,000 square meters with 3,500m length of the coastline. The yard owns one dry dock ,holds 100,000 dwt shipbuilding capacity. Boluomiao Shipyard was set up in November 2008, incorporated by the original CIC Boluomiao Shipyard and CIC Chenganwei Shipyard. Now Boluomiao Shipyard consists of two sites which are Huang Pu and Hai Zhu. The Huang Pu Site has a Quay Line of 540 m, locates at the joint of Zhong Shan Avenue and Huang Pu Bridge, neighbor to Huang Pu Port, which is the largest port in South China. Vessels up to 80000DWT can be undertaken repair or conversion; And the Hai Zhu Site has a Quay Line of 332 m, locates at the joint of Guang Zhou Avenue, South Circumference Highway and Luo Xi Bridge. Vessels up to 16000DWT can be undertaken repair or conversion, vessels up to 8000DWT can be undertaken DD repair. The Shipyard owns advanced technique of ship repair and conversion, it has a large capacity of steel structure’s design and production, can undertake the prefabrication and assembly of pipeline. Steel renewal capacity of the Shipyard has achieved the advanced stage in Domestic. The Shipyard has powerful capacity of Mechanical & Electrical Integration, as well as consummate technique of repairing marine mechanism, offering vessels of safe and reliable power and excellent automation. The Shipyard possesses nearly 100 sets of facilities for machining works and a batch of NC machine tools. No matter large or exact accessory can be undertaken machining. The Shipyard also owns advanced techniques such as marine extinguishing works and special jointing, special spray coating, low temperature iron plating, engineering plastic and metal lock and so on.
