Located on Changxing Island at the Yangtze River estuary, the Changxing Branch of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries is a key production base for the group. Construction began in November 2000. The base, covering approximately 3.5 million square meters (approximately the size of 500 standard football fields), includes approximately 1.02 million square meters of factory space. The base boasts 5 kilometers of deep-water shoreline and 4 kilometers of load-bearing docks, a core competitive advantage for Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries in manufacturing.The Changxing base has the following features:The base currently has three large floating cranes, including two 1,600t cranes and one 2,200t crane.There is a heavy-duty wharf capable of bearing a single unit load of 5,400 tons, and seven gantry crane assembly wharves, totaling 2,390 meters.There is a 10,200 square meter heavy-duty workshop with eight 400t heavy-duty cranes.
