Hangtong Company is the collective name of Guangzhou Hangtong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Bureau Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., a second-level subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited, a Fortune 500 company. It was founded in 1993. Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. specializes in shipbuilding and marine engineering, particularly in the construction of specialized vessels like the Sihang Yongxing (a flat shallow-draught semi-submersible transport barge) and the first domestic deep-cement mixing vessel.
