Jiangsu (Taizhou) Jiangbei Shipyard was initially established in 1998. In December 2013, it was restructured and formally named Jiangsu Jiangbei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., marking nearly two decades of growth and transformation.The company operates two yards—North and South—spanning a total area of around 35,666 m², including 25,680 m² dedicated to construction, a 777 m² NC steel-cutting workshop, office space, and storage warehouses. North Yard: Equipped with a gantry crane (50 + 10 tons capacity), and berths measuring approximately 220 m in length and 36 m in width.South Yard: Features a dual-capacity gantry crane (32 + 32 tons).Since inception (circa 1998), the yard has built and delivered over 260 vessels, including: General cargo ships Ferries (notably 103 exported to Africa) Pontoons (e.g., built for the Shanghai World Expo) Special-purpose, engineering, and chemical tankers Vessels up to 120 m LOA The awarding of the city’s first LNG vessel contract (a milestone for Taizhou) signals growing capabilities in eco-friendly shipbuilding—aligning with Jiangbei’s own LNG-related activitiesmore
